Job Information

Twin Leaf Entertainment LLC is looking for an intern to work on the software application "Cabinet" during Summer 2023. This is an unpaid internship, and primarily seeking student applicants. There is a possibility for an optional slight extension after the internship period has finished.


All applicants must:

  • Be a rising junior or senior studying for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or other Technology related degree.
  • Be available to work full time hours during June to August 2024.


What is Cabinet Software?

  • Cabinet is a physical and virtual file locating database software. It stores and manages all your file data in one place.
  • It saves thousands of hours per year in document management and hence increases productivity for both people and businesses.
  • It is used to manage 10,000+ files in multiple businesses across the world.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to bug fixes and software enhancements.
  • Perform debugging, testing and enhancements to application stability.
  • Infuse new ideas into the engineering roadmap.
  • Develop requirements for systems in production for existing real-world customers.
  • Work using a professional software development workflow (Agile).


Technologies And Software We Use

Node.js, Electron API, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Firebase, Jira Software, GitHub, VS Code, Slack


Qualifications

Minimum

  • Strong Computer Science Fundamentals (Algorithms, Data Structures)
  • Proficient in JavaScript.
  • Basic understanding of databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • Knowledge of Node.JS and HTML / CSS.
  • Experience with Git / GitHub Source Control
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred

  • Knowledge of Agile Development Work Flow
  • Knowledge of electronjs (electron API) or Google Firebase
  • Previous experience with Slack or Microsoft Teams

Job Information

Twin Leaf Entertainment LLC is looking for an intern to work on the software application "Cabinet" during Summer 2023. This is an unpaid internship, and primarily seeking student applicants. There is a good possibility for an optional slight extension after the internship period has finished. This is not an extremely demanding job and is balanced enough for students to work on it.


All applicants must:

  • Be a rising junior or senior studying for an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or other Technology related degree.
  • Be available to work part-time hours during June to August 2024. This means around 2-3 days a week.

  • Cabinet is a physical and virtual file locating database software. It stores and manages all your file data in one place.
  • It saves thousands of hours per year in document management and hence increases productivity for both people and businesses.
  • It is used to manage 10,000+ files in multiple businesses across the world.


Responsibilities

  • Create designs, layouts and visualizations to enhance end user experience on the Cabinet application and company website.
  • Collaborate with fellow employees to translate requirements for use by Engineering colleagues.
  • Develop UI requirements for systems in production for existing real-world customers.
  • Convert current app workflows into simple design concepts that enhance engagement and readability.
  • Work using a professional software development workflow (Agile).


Relevant Technologies And Software We Use

Website Builder, Adobe Suite, Jira Software, GitHub, MS Teams


Qualifications

Minimum

  • A good understanding of UI and UX design standards in websites and apps
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present quick iteration and mockups of design concepts
  • Ability to scope and assess how design requirements will translate into engineering.
  • Experience with Git / GitHub Source Control

Preferred

  • Previous experience as a UI / UX designer in a professional environment or large project.
  • Understanding of basic front-end web development (HTML, CSS)
  • Previous experience with Slack or Microsoft Teams
